Dear Aspyn

Dear Aspyn,

Right now you’re in surgery & watching the nurse walk away with you was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. As the amazing doctors repair your skull, we’re counting down the minutes until we get to see you again. I can’t wait to cuddle you and smell your sweet baby smell. These hours honestly feel like days.

You are such a strong independent girl & I’m so proud to be your mother. From the second you came into this world you’ve been a fighter and have overcome so much. You’re only 6 months old and have endured hardships that no baby should have to, but you came out stronger because of it. You’ve also helped make me so much stronger through your journey. Seeing you happy all the time is what keeps me going even on my worst days. That smile of yours is contagious and could light up a room. Your curious personality reminds me of the daily beauties in life I’d otherwise miss. You remind me it’s okay to slow down for a bit & enjoy the little things. Thank you for that.

Seeing you overcome all these hardships at such a young age just shows me how badass you’re going to be in life. If you can deal with everything that’s been thrown your way you can honestly overcome ANYTHING. I know God has big plans for you babygirl & I can’t wait to be there every step of the way. You bring such a joy to our lives I can’t imagine life without you. You’ve given my life a whole new purpose & I’m so thankful for that Aspyn. You bring light to my darkest days & you, your sister & brother are my main purpose in life. I love you so much and I can’t wait until I can hold you again my sweet baby.

Love,

Your mama
